Procurement Manager

As Procurement Manager, you will lead the Reagent and Fixed Asset Procurement teams in the Company’s main operation in ZhangJiang and its satellite operations in Chengdu. You will be responsible for vendor relation management, strategic sourcing and supply management and internal control/SOP implementation related activities.
This will include the proactive assessment of international supply marketplace trends, risks and opportunities; working with business partners to define supply requirements; engaging in the supply marketplace on behalf of the Company, and participating in sourcing negotiations with cross functional teams. In addition, you will proactively manage and develop the supply base and act as the focal point for all reagent and supply issues.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Procurement Team to facilitate delivery of goods and fixed assets instruments in a timely fashion;
- Coaching, development and training of team members;
- Meet additional objectives for material cost reduction, supply quality, on-time delivery as well as on-time, on-budget, on-specification completion of assigned projects and initiatives.
- Implement SOP and internal controls to ensure accurate processes and financial reporting;
- Accurate analysis and reporting on procurement reports;
- Manage and utilize sourcing related information on information systems (ERP), including, supplier and product information and Standard Costs.
- On-time, accurate delivery of other projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
BS or MS degree in related field
At least 5+ experience in a relevant area, with an established portfolio of successful projects resulting in substantial improvements in material cost reduction, as well as improvements in supply quality and on-time delivery (or an equivalent and relevant history of success).
Proven capability to drive and accelerate change across an organization
Demonstrated experience/expertise with financial and purchase base analysis
